(Read More)Newly built customer pick-up features a 350 gallon Space-Saver Tank with dual pumps and reels to eliminate cross contamination. The setup also includes an extra 50 gallon tank with 12v pump for filling ride-on equipment or additional sprayers.
Our Director of R&D Dr. Randy (RM) Huckaba was in Eureka, North Carolina harvesting a sweetpotato experiment. The test treatments included TELONE™ II as well as TELONE™/Chloropicrin combinations.
Adrienne Gorny from NC State Extension was also onsite helping with the harvest and evaluation of the results.
The results showed that TELONE™ provided very good control of the devastating guava root-knot nematode.
It was a challenging research season with dry weather in June and then excessively wet weather in August/September; however, the results showed that TELONE™ provided very good control of the devastating guava root-knot nematode.

The website features crop-speciic pages that speak directly to a grower as well as application and equipment pages explaining what soil fumigation is, the equipment used for application, and the different methods of application. (Read More)The University of Georgia Cooperative Extension compiled its 2024 Southeastern Peach, Nectarine, and Plum Pest Management and Culture Guide. For peach growers in the southeast, the guide recommends TELONE™ applications "should generally be made in the fall prior to mid-November. October soil temperatures often provide the best opportunity for efficacy."
It goes on to say, "pre-plant soil fumigation and the use of appropriate rootstocks are strongly encouraged on light, sandy soil where root-knot, root-lesion or ring nematodes are present. On many sites preplant fumigation is imperative to achieve reasonable orchard productivity and longevity."
