Teleos is thrilled to join industry leaders, innovators, and partners at this year’s Southern Crop Production Association's annual meeting in Amelia Island. This year's theme is "Rooted in Purpose, Speaking with Power" a reflection of the strength of our shared foundations and the courage to shape the future of agriculture together.
Our Teleos President, John Godbehere, is at the event along with our Mid Atlantic TELONE™ Specialist, Greg Roberson. Opening festivities kicked off last night, and the team was excited to meet up with SCPA Executive Vice President Bucky Kennedy and Director of State Affairs John G. Campbell.
As conversations around food, health, and sustainability continue to evolve, Teleos is honored to support and engage in shaping a healthier, more resilient agricultural future with proven crop protection tools, like TELONE™ by Teleos soil fumigant.
We look forward to connecting with our peers, partners, and friends across the agricultural community—and to being part of an event that celebrates innovation, leadership, and collaboration. We're proud to be SCPA members and gold sponsors for this event.
Orchard replant? Prep the soil for long-term success. Because there's no coming back from a poor start!
Orchard growers know that TELONE™ by Teleos tackles two big challenges at once: nematode pressure and Prunus replant disease. Whether you're planting peaches, almonds, walnuts, pecans, or apples, its important to to target nematodes before they have a chance to be a problem. By moving deep into the root zone before planting, TELONE™ targets nematodes where they live—so young trees can establish without early-season setbacks.
What growers see:
Pre-plant fumigation is a once-per-orchard window—make it count. In many cases, the growth advantage vs. untreated can help pay back quickly, often by the first crop. Just check out this photo, taken 2.5 years after planting; the apple trees grown in soil prepped with TELONE™ are larger with increased yields, as compared to the trees grown in untreated soil.

Fall application season is still active in the PNW, where carrot growers are busy prepping their soil with TELONE™ by Teleos soil fumigant ahead of planting.
Carrot growers in the PNW face high nematode pressure which can affect marketable yields and quality. Root-knot nematodes are the most common and cause galls, misshapen, forked, or hairy roots (as seen in the photo below). Plants are often stunted and wounds invite soil-borne diseases.
That's why growers depend on TELONE™ to help combat nematodes before they have a chance to inflict damage. Using TELONE™ to prep the soil before planting creates a zone of protection where future crops can thrive without the threat of nematode pressure.
There are new faces at Team Teleos, and we’re thrilled to introduce Oliver Pelz, our new Global Regulatory Leader.

Last week, our Southeast TELONE™ Specialist at Teleos, Chris Hays, was on-site at the Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association (FFVA)'s 81st Annual Convention.
"The Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association serves as a strong voice for Florida farmers who grow nutritious fruits and vegetables to feed our country. We listen and respond to growers’ needs, working to shape agricultural public policy."
Teleos is a proud member of FFVA, and we were honored to be sponsors of this event.
Chris said it was a great meeting that brought together the leading voices in Florida's ag industry. It was an excellent opportunity to network with growers and engage in good conversations about top issues facing the industry.
We're already looking forward to next year!

Our Southeast rep Chris Hays, was recently in Plant City, FL, for a deep-shank application of TELONE™ by Teleos soil fumigant.
Florida’s Plant City–Dover region is known as the “Winter Strawberry Capital,” supplying fresh berries when few other regions can. With more than $350 million in farm-gate value each year, protecting this crop from yield-robbing nematodes is essential. Pre-plant soil fumigation with TELONE™ by Teleos helps growers establish strong, healthy roots—setting the stage for a productive season.
Deep-shank applications help get TELONE™ further in the ground, below the hard pan, to control the nematodes where they are.

The California Department of Pesticide Regulation (CA DPR) recently released its annual produce monitoring report, which found that about 97% of fruits and vegetables sold in California had no detectable pesticide residues or residues below federal health-protective limits.
The results are based on 3,544 produce samples collected in 2023 by DPR from over 500 locations statewide. The unwashed samples are tested for 500 types of pesticides and related compounds. Samples are considered illegal when detections exceed health-protective “tolerances” set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Detailed results for the Residue Monitoring Program include:
Our Director of R&D, Dr. Randy (RM) Huckaba, is onsite in Victoria, British Columbia at the 64th Annual Meeting of the Society of Nematologists (SON).
"The Society of Nematologists (SON) is an international organization formed to advance the science of nematology in both its fundamental and economic aspects. To serve this purpose, the Society of Nematologists acts as an agency for the exchange of information, holds regular meetings, and promotes and extends knowledge in all phases of nematology. The Society operates on a nonprofit basis exclusively for the accomplishment of these educational and scientific goals."
The theme for this year's international symposium is "Sustainable Agricultural and Food Systems". Fourteen keynote speakers from 11 countries across 5 continents are participating in the discussions over four days.
We are active members in the Society of Nematologists, and we applaud the work they do to further the science and understanding of nematodes.
