Strong potato harvests start with a well-prepared field.
TriEst Ag Group’s Tackling Tillage series highlights how strip-till soil fumigation is helping potato growers balance reduced tillage goals with effective pre-plant crop protection. From application precision to field-specific equipment adjustments, TriEst Ag Group is committed to helping potato growers manage soilborne challenges and build stronger production systems.Healthy orchards begin with healthy soil.
When gaps in orchard rows need to be replanted, TriCal New Zealand uses targeted site soil fumigation with a manual injector to help manage potential soilborne pests and diseases. The result is a healthier growing environment that supports beneficial microorganisms, strong tree establishment, and long-term orchard productivity.
TriCal Group Companies are committed to the safe and responsible use of soil fumigation. We strive to protect you, your community and the environment. Our Companies rely on decades of experience, thousands of in-field application trials, and hundreds of university research studies to find the perfect formulation that is healthy for your crops, profitable for your farm, and safe for your community.

TriCal, Inc. is proud to congratulate Nabin Poudel of the University of Georgia and Shiv Singla of the University of Delaware, the two recipients of the 2026 Storkan-Hanes-McCaslin Research Foundation Award.
Their research focuses on two important challenges in crop production:
Nabin Poudel is studying resistance to Meloidogyne incognita in squash, with the goal of identifying resistance that could support future breeding and nematode management strategies.
Shiv Singla is researching how mustard-derived glucosinolates and isothiocyanates can help suppress Phytophthora capsici, with the goal of improving the effectiveness and predictability of biofumigation.
Both projects address challenges that growers face in the field and highlight the importance of research in developing new and sustainable crop protection tools.
Since 1988, the Storkan-Hanes-McCaslin Research Foundation has awarded $702,500 to 99 students, providing annual support for research addressing important challenges in agriculture.
Congratulations to Nabin and Shiv on this well-deserved recognition!
From field trials to better crop outcomes, innovation starts with putting new approaches to the test. This photo highlights an in-row soil fumigation trial on onions in Irrigon, Oregon, where we are evaluating application performance and refining techniques to promote healthy stands and consistent crop growth.
Powered by Chloropicrin, Strike™ is applied directly within the row to target soilborne pests and diseases where they can affect the developing root system. In-row application also helps make every treatment count by focusing protection where it is needed most.
Soil Fumigation promotes a healthy root system for potatoes, onions, carrots, strawberries, melons, nuts, grapes, cucumbers, tomatoes, tree fruit, peppers, eggplants, flowers, nurseries and more. Soil fumigation provides benefits to both consumer and grower.
