This image shows Sclerotinia on the left: a soilborne disease that can quickly compromise crop health, yield, and quality.
Once established in the soil, Sclerotinia survives for years through hard resting structures (sclerotia), making it difficult to manage during the growing season.
Soil fumigation is a critical preventative step, and Pic+ is used as an effective solution to manage Sclerotinia pressure before planting. By reducing the soilborne pathogen load early, Pic+ helps protect young plants during their most vulnerable stages, supports healthy root development, and lowers disease pressure throughout the entire crop cycle. Prevention below ground is key to avoiding losses above ground.
In a recent cherry orchard planting, a central section of post-row ground was left unfumigated due to equipment access limitations. The difference in plant performance was clear — trees established in soil treated with Strike 80 showed stronger growth and improved vigor compared to those planted in untreated soil. Although the variety was considered disease resistant, this experience reinforced the importance of proactive soil preparation. The grower has since committed to fumigating all future plantings.

This is what a crop looks like when the work underground is done well. Uniform growth, healthy plants and a field prepared to perform from day one. Because good lettuce does not appear by chance, it is built from the ground.
TriCal Group Companies are committed to the safe and responsible use of soil fumigation. We strive to protect you, your community and the environment. Our Companies rely on decades of experience, thousands of in-field application trials, and hundreds of university research studies to find the perfect formulation that is healthy for your crops, profitable for your farm, and safe for your community.

Soil fumigation is underway in this hop field as part of the preparation for a successful growing season. Beginning with healthy soil helps manage soil conditions that can limit plant performance and supports strong establishment as the crop moves into the season. Trident's team works closely with growers to plan applications carefully and carry them out with precision and responsible practices in the field.
At Trident Ag Products combines field experience, research-driven approaches, and a strong focus on stewardship to support long term crop performance and sustainable farming operations.

Preparation and spraying of soil in pre-plantation is a strategic decision: reduce risks from the start, protect the root system and give the crop an even and strong start. Every prepared groove is a bet for healthier plants, more stable cycles, and a production that lasts over time. Because in tomato, as in all farming well done, success is built from the ground up.
