Today, TriCal Group is proud to spotlight Juan P. Cristofalo, Agronomist with our affiliated company, TriCal New Zealand.
Juan began his journey with Leicester’s in November 2023 before continuing with TriCal NZ. This November, he’ll celebrate three years with the company.
Juan chose agronomy because it combined his interest in working outdoors with his passion for agriculture. Today, he enjoys conducting trials, analyzing results, and helping growers develop effective crop protection strategies.
At TriCal NZ, Juan conducts crop trials, assesses soil microbiomes, supports integrated crop protection programs, and works with customers and colleagues to develop solutions for soil-borne pests and beneficial soil microorganisms following soil fumigation.
One accomplishment he’s especially proud of is being part of a team that continues to overcome challenges and reach new goals. This year, that included beginning work in kiwifruit orchards despite industry and market barriers.
Juan believes agronomists play a vital role in helping growers produce higher-quality yields from limited agricultural land. He sees the combination of modern crop protection and biological solutions as key to feeding a growing global population.
Outside of work, Juan enjoys time with his family, fishing, and his aquarium hobby.
Happy International Agronomist Day, Juan! Thank you for your dedication to growers, customers, and the TriCal Group family. We’re proud to have you on our global team!
Teleos's Stewardship Manager, Justin Harrison, is back with a new TELONE™ Tip Sheet focused on a simple step that can make a big difference: the 60-second pre-transfer walk-around.
Before moving product, take a minute to verify:
Justin also covers why it's important to start slowly and verify flow, use the required PPE for transfers with liquid-contact potential, considerations when using nitrogen pressure, and conditions that should immediately stop a transfer.
At Teleos, stewardship is about building safety into every step—from transportation and storage to product transfer and application. Sometimes, one extra minute upfront can prevent a much bigger problem later.
Today we recognize agronomists who bring knowledge directly to the field and transform it into decisions that drive agriculture.
On International Agronomist Day, TriCal Sudamérica highlights the dedication of those who observe, research, and work alongside farmers to face the challenges of each crop and move towards more efficient and sustainable production.

Drip irrigation helps deliver water and nutrients directly to the root zone, supporting efficient water use, uniform crop growth, and improved nutrient management. With the right design, installation, and support, growers can make every drop count throughout the season.
TriEst Ag Group is proud to help growers plan irrigation solutions built around their fields, crops, and production goals.
Trical Group's design teams work with our outside sales staff and the grower to develop efficient and cost-effective irrigation designs that meet the grower's goals and industry uniformity standards. They also will work together to troubleshoot or upgrade existing irrigation systems. Our design team prepares:

Potato research continues to grow at Trident Ag Products. This season, we’re conducting two trials with larger plot sizes covering half-pivot fields, giving us an even broader look at product performance under real-world growing conditions.
By continuing these trials over multiple years, we’re able to work alongside growers, track results from season to season, and build a stronger understanding of what works in the field.
Trident's work continues to show encouraging results in addressing the early die complex in potatoes, including suppression of Verticillium and black dot in stem tissue. The goal is simple: help growers maintain healthier plants and maximize crop potential.
Strike formulations are Chloropicrin-based products and some of the most effective soil fumigants to manage soil borne pests and pathogens in potatoes and other crops. Pre-plant soil fumigation treatment is the first step in a successful soil health and pest management system. Strike can be applied alone or in combination with other fumigants via shank injections. The Strike product line helps you grow a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable crop year after year.
